Every new year brings its own learning curve. 2020 has demanded rapid adaptation. MT Lab shares the success stories of 3 of its incubated startups.
Last April, the partners selected 15 startups to form the 4th cohort of the MT Lab incubation program in 2020-2021. Many of them have demonstrated their agility by deploying pilot projects or turnkey solutions in the industry’s current new health context.
BRITE4 – This company, which designs and markets intelligent vending machines, quickly responded to a specific need at Montreal Airport by installing mask dispensers at the airport gates for travelers who had forgotten their masks when they arrived at their destination.
Leav – This company offers contactless payment via its web platform without prior registration. It tested the effectiveness of its solution during the holiday season by opening a Pop-Up Store at the Eaton Centre. Thanks to the optimal use of data and RFID technology, it demonstrated the effectiveness of the contactless transaction experience in a secure, hassle-free environment. The Fondation du maire: Le Montréal Inc. de demain has just awarded her a bursary of over $10,000.
Pack It Up – Pack It Up’s mission is to offer a range of unique and memorable gifts in the form of boxes, enabling original turnkey activities. During the holiday season, Pack It Up brilliantly renewed the notion ofexperience for several Quebec companies who had to cancel their office festivities, but still wanted to use their event budget to celebrate with their employees from afar. From mixology kits to apprentice chocolatier kits, these custom-made gift boxes created warm moments between employees despite the cold and the distance.
