Lifeline Technologies offers kiosks with portable chargers for public places, tourist attractions, convention centers and major events.
Portable chargers are one of the most consumed products on the planet, and one of the main contributors to electronic waste. Lifeline Technologies wants users to stop buying portable chargers for personal use, and share them instead.
Founded in 2020 by three partners, Lifeline Technologies began with market research in Asia and Europe before finding a supplier of charging stations, with whom the start-up signed an exclusive contract for Canada.
Lifeline Technologies has begun installing its recharging stations in restaurants, bars and universities.
Selected to be part of the fifth MT Lab cohort, Lifeline Technologies was able to benefit from the coworking space, ecosystem and advice of the Major Partners. To support its growth, the company has moved from a B2C model, where users pay, to a B2B offering, where partners offer the service free of charge to their customers.
MT Lab’s network has enabled it to install its charging stations at the Olympic Park, launch a pilot project with the Palais des Congrès and be present in Loto-Québec’s casinos as soon as they reopen.
“The MT Lab enabled us to open doors, meet people and sign our first contracts with large organizations,” sums up Laurent Mailloux, co-founder of Lifeline Technologies.
