Montreal, Quebec, November 22, 2022 – MT Lab is pleased to welcome Tourisme Mauricie as one of a dozen key players in Quebec’s tourism industry. Powered by the MT Lab, Tourisme Mauricie aims to become a hub of open innovation in tourism, fostering the emergence and hosting of start-ups on its territory.

Located between Quebec City and Montreal, Tourisme Mauricie aims to make its region a strategic zone of open innovation through the creation of collective wealth, fed by future entrepreneurs in the ideation phase from here and the rest of Quebec.

This partnership with MT Lab is in line with our desire to use innovation as a means of experimentation and cooperation, enabling the Mauritian region to accelerate its economic attractiveness. For its part, MT Lab already has a foothold in the region thanks to its partnership with TRès Trois-Rivières. As a result, MT Lab will be able to strengthen its presence outside Montreal, and benefit from a better understanding of the challenges faced by start-ups throughout the region.

Tourisme Mauricie will be taking part in various MT Lab activities. In particular, he will participate in the selection of young companies for the Incubation Program, in order to find innovative solutions to his challenges, and even to implement them within his organization. He will also take part in the two annual innovation days (“DemoDay”), which present the latest entrepreneurial trends, as well as in meetings of the open innovation club, which promotes the exchange of expertise, the sharing of experience and ideas, and access to a wider business network.
