Quebec City, February 10, 2023 – MT Lab, North America’s leading innovation incubator for the tourism, culture and entertainment sectors, is delighted to welcome Québec numérique as a major partner alongside more than ten of Quebec’s leading tourism organizations
. This natural union confirms Québec numérique’s determination to contribute to the establishment of a culture of innovation and the emergence of sustainable tourism startups in the region.
The two organizations thus intend to strengthen their reciprocal ties, to encourage and support open innovation and entrepreneurship in all its forms in Quebec’s tourism, culture, entertainment and digital sectors. For MT Lab, this is an opportunity to carve out a prime position in the Capitale-Nationale ecosystem, starting with the hosting of its first office within the Québec numérique premises.
A permanent MT Lab resource already occupies the premises at 330, rue Saint-Vallier Est, in Québec City’s lower town. The organization invites its partners, collaborators and startups to visit its new premises, stop by for a coffee or work.
A successful kick-off
This partnership was highlighted at an event on February 9, the launch of the Pôle d’innovation en tourisme durable à Québec, co-founded by Destination Québec cité and MT Lab. Several influential players from the business and tourism worlds were present for the occasion. MT Lab took the opportunity to host a discussion withInnovobot partner Sylvain Carle on sustainable tourism issues and solutions. In addition, startups from cohort 6 of the Incubation program had the chance to make a short presentation to a captive audience.
