Understanding the visitor journey to the destination

We’re looking for a solution to help Très Trois-Rivières better understand and act on the tourism flow within its downtown area.

Problem and need :

Like many cities, Trois-Rivières is defined by its downtown core, where activities are highly concentrated, generating a high level of traffic during event and tourist periods. The destination knows the visitor's origin and profile, but has little information on their movements and use of the downtown area, and therefore lacks the tools and indicators to fully understand and distribute the flow of visitors, and make the right improvements to make the visitor experience more fluid.
Since needs are multi-level, the MT Lab invites innovative companies to submit a project that could provide a solution among certain themes, such as:

Major milestones

If you’re a data company, you need to be able to retrieve data for the 2023 summer period (previous data).
The company must be able to deliver the results or solution within a respectable timeframe, enabling Très Trois-Rivières to plan for the next summer season (December 2023).
The innovative company may enter into partnerships with other companies offering complementary services to enhance the solution presented. However, it must be the sole representative of the solution to MT Lab and Très Trois-Rivières.
The innovative company must propose a business model with a realistic and sustainable cost strategy for the tourism sector.
The project must be cost-free for the challenge sponsor, and any expenses exceeding the funding will be borne by the company.
