France tourism lab and MT lab become partners

The first week of October was exciting with the visit of a delegation of France Tourism Lab national network of incubators and accelerators of tourism. This delegation consisted of:

  • 6 representatives of operational support structures of France Tourisme Lab: Welcome City Lab, Slow Tourisme Lab, Open Tourisme Lab et Œnotourisme Lab.

  • 4 representatives of support structures projects: Alsace Tourisme Lab, Projet Bretagne et Mission Louvre-Lens Tourisme.

  • 3 members Réseau Villages by CA : FNCA (Fédération Nationale du Crédit Agricole – porteuse du réseau), Village by CA Morbihan et Village by CA PACA.
  • 4 startups : Cognidis, House&Friends, Alma Mundi et Blob Enjeu.
  • 2 members of the steering team of France Tourisme Lab (DGE) : Anne-Marie MICHAUX et Lorène VALLIER qui ont co-organisé le programme et les différentes étapes du séjour.

On the 1st of October at the welcome cocktail of the delegation as well as the one of Atout France, the MT Lab had the opportunity to sign a protocol of partnership with France Tourisme Lab in the presence of the Consul General of France in Montreal Mrs. Catherine Feuillet , Business France, Vice President of UQAM Catherine Mounier, our partners as well as Board members, startups and coworkers.

This partnership protocol was conceived with the objective of: “developing long-term working relationships, fostering the exchange of good practices and the mutual welcome of startups in a” network spirit “,” to bring innovation to tourism and foster the success of the new generation of French and Canadian tourism entrepreneurs “.

The rest of the study tour was devoted to presentations of the various structures involved in our Québec tourism ecosystem. The delegation had the opportunity to discover the MT Lab and its partners.

Subsequently, a day was dedicated to the discovery of incubators, accelerators and actors from the startups ecosystem in Montreal (Centech, Maison Notman et FounderFuel, Lune Rouge and more).

Some days were devoted to presentations of partners of the public and private ecosystem with thematic meetings such as la Ville de Montréal, le MEI, Desjardins Lab…

Finally the last day was devoted to a synthesis of the study trip, as well as the definition of short and long term personal and common goals with the help of Yulism.
