The MT Lab was founded by the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and its School of Management Sciences (ESG UQAM), and thanks to the support of Tourisme Montréal, the project was made possible. Financial support from the Ville de Montréal and the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Occupation du territoire enabled the premises to be set up in the heart of the entertainment district.
The Major Partners Committee is made up of industry leaders who identify priority themes and help companies to validate their business model and land their first customer or new customers in the tourism, culture and entertainment sector.
All our partners have been involved both financially and through their expertise in MT Lab activities since it opened in 2017. They participate year-round by supporting the incubation program, engaging in networking activities, offering advice, and providing access to opportunities

Each year, our key partners identify priority innovation themes and select the startups for the incubation program. The founding members include the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), its School of Management Sciences (ESG UQAM), Tourisme Montréal, and the Transat Chair in Tourism.
