The customer

The Greater Montreal Hotel Association (GMHA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support, represent, promote and mobilize players in the Greater Montreal hotel industry in a sustainable development perspective. The organization creates partnerships with key companies for hotel development and promotes best practices in the field. It also holds a number of events and promotional campaigns to highlight Greater Montreal’s hotel initiatives.

Project summary

The Association is collaborating with Hoppin’ World to launch its immersive concierge service in the form of augmented reality stations at hotel reception desks. These installations aim to increase visitor curiosity and create interest in local attractions. They offer a different, tailored way of exploring the area’s events and activities, stimulating the digital shift for tourism. This connected approach increases customer satisfaction by offering an alternative to face-to-face inquiries, with varied proposals, in real time and with interactive content.

The challenge

It’s important for museums and permanent attractions to renew themselves to attract new audiences. Innovative ideas from companies such as Stimulation Déjà-Vu are making such stations a reality.

Today, to stand out from the crowd, you need to employ innovative ideas and use technology to enhance the customer experience.

The solution

This unique exhibition offers the opportunity to immerse oneself in the marine world in a different way, and shows a new perspective on the exploration of aquatic environments.

The EAU’DORAT exhibition contains :

  • a varied olfactory station with information;
  • the opportunity to immerse yourself sensorially in the life of a polar bear and a shark, to become aware of their way of life;
  • marketing this exhibition to attract new visitors.

The service provider

Hoppin’ is a social virtual reality application that enables people to meet virtually in existing places. Through an immersive and safe experience, visitors are invited to discover a destination without moving. The platform offers the possibility of organizing tours and meetings in real time, using customer service avatars. In addition to business meetings, visitors can visit art galleries, museums, nature parks and more. As part of this project, the application serves as a tourist guide, enabling visitors to explore local attractions before making a purchase.

Results and findings

The exhibition was much appreciated by visitors and generated a great deal of enthusiasm. Good media coverage also helped to highlight the efforts and create excitement.

If we had to do it all over again, the materials would be chosen more for their durability, since we had to change several parts.
