Hit The Floor and Direct impact solutions creations

The customer

The main activities of Créations Hit The Floor are the organization of a tour of three international dance events.

The tour visits Gatineau, Saint-Hyacinthe and Lévis annually. Each year, over 55,000 dance enthusiasts gather for a total of 14 days of events. These events require a high level of logistical coordination in terms of competition schedules.

Project summary

This financing project enabled Créations Hit The Floor, a dance troupe, to centralize its management on a single digital platform.

This platform, produced by Direct Impact Solutions, facilitates and optimizes communication, registration and overall organization, while minimizing errors.

The challenge

Prior to the implementation of the digital platform project, team members created each program manually, requiring many hours of work and risking errors. As well, communication with school principals and participants was mainly by e-mail.

Every question, every change request and every micro-detail amounted to an e-mail. The workload was excessively heavy for the logistics team.

The solution

Direct Impact Solutions deployed a registration and scheduling platform designed to meet the specific needs of Hit The Floor Creations.

The project comprises three feature development components:

  • schedule creation ;
  • file transfer and communication with participants ;
  • implementation of phase 2 of the project: introduction of an interactive application for the benefit of all event customers (dancers, directors, visitors, partners, etc.).

The service provider

Direct Impact Solutions is an application developer who contributed to the project by creating the platform and collaborating with the various players involved.

Its mandate was to facilitate tasks and automate certain functions to counter the lack of human and administrative resources when organizing events.

Results and findings

We were able to work with the platform to create the schedule for the first event of the 2024 Tour,
or Hit The Floor Gatineau, which ran from March 14 to 17.

Real results have been observed, such as increased productivity, fewer errors and the elimination of repetitive tasks. The organization of expert appraisals has also been optimized, and the customer experience improved.
