Project – Le Domaine des Feux Follets

Le Domaine des Feux Follets

The customer

Le Domaine is a vineyard located in Berthier-sur-Mer, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region. They produce natural wines that are distributed in various outlets throughout Quebec. Their wines are popular, attracting many tourists who wish to rent the barn for receptions or tour the grounds. The estate’s mission is to promote the natural attractions of the terroir by showcasing local products, encouraging collaboration between artisans, safeguarding biodiversity and providing education through guided tours.

Project summary

In response to strong demand for agro-tourism, the Domaine is extending its offer to include glamping accommodation on its site.

The funding will enable the purchase of tents, furnishings (beds, bedding, etc.) and the improvement of guided tours by installing educational panels to adapt the site to the new influx.

Other improvements include renovation of the barn used as a reception hall, installation of new sanitary facilities, adaptation of existing on-site facilities, and development of the boutique to offer local baskets and other products. The project was prompted by existing demand, which is growing every year.

The challenge

It’s important for museums and permanent attractions to renew themselves to attract new audiences. Innovative ideas from companies such as Stimulation Déjà-Vu are making such stations a reality.

Today, to stand out from the crowd, you need to employ innovative ideas and use technology to enhance the customer experience.

The solution

This unique exhibition offers the opportunity to immerse oneself in the marine world in a different way, and shows a new perspective on the exploration of aquatic environments.

The EAU’DORAT exhibition contains :

  • a varied olfactory station with information;
  • the opportunity to immerse yourself sensorially in the life of a polar bear and a shark, to become aware of their way of life;
  • marketing this exhibition to attract new visitors.

Glam tents

To make the project a reality, the Domaine will install glamping tents fully equipped with mattresses, small tables and accessories.

These tents will be able to accommodate visitors during peak seasons, making access to a lodge a complex proposition. People will then be able to take advantage of the other attractions available in the region or on the site itself.

Results and findings

The exhibition was much appreciated by visitors and generated a great deal of enthusiasm. Good media coverage also helped to highlight the efforts and create excitement.

If we had to do it all over again, the materials would be chosen more for their durability, since we had to change several parts.
