Created in 2021, Héralys Talents & Immigrants' mission is to improve the integration of newcomers into the Quebec job market. The young company develops services, advice and support as well as a platform that helps employers in the recruitment and integration of qualified candidates from immigrant backgrounds.
Selected to be part of the fifth cohort of the MT Lab, Héralys was able to benefit from contacts with partners. The tourism, hotel, restaurant and event sectors are in high demand for labour, and are attractive to immigrants, and the economic benefits are enormous.
Beneficiary of the human resources grant of the Tourism Innovation Program managed by the MT Lab, Héralys took the opportunity to strengthen its team. The start-up now has three employees.
Moving into the MT Lab's coworking spaces promotes synergies and information sharing between entrepreneurs who are experiencing the same questions and the same developments. The contribution of advice and mentoring has also helped Héralys in its efforts, particularly with the major players in the industry that the MT Lab has allowed it to approach.
"At the MT Lab," says Fatoumata Fofana, founder of Héralys Talents & Immigrants, "we challenge each other, we share experiences, we participate in the same presentations, we see ourselves growing together. In short, it's benevolence. »
