Through open innovation, we support tourism businesses in incubating and accelerating concrete solutions to make the Capitale-Nationale an exemplary destination in terms of sustainable development and economic performance.

Co-founded in 2022 by the MT Lab and Destination Québec cité, the Sustainable Tourism Innovation Hub aims to spark innovation, promote the growth of young businesses and propel sustainable tourism as a major priority in the Capitale-National region and throughout the province. It builds on the wealth of the Québec City region in terms of tourism and sustainable development.

Are you developing a solution that can help reduce the carbon footprint of tourism, accelerate the energy transition or promote sustainable mobility? The Sustainable Tourism Innovation Hub is launching a call to support 5 projects in a 6-month journey combining:

  • Workshops (responsible business model, financing, impact measurement, etc.)
  • One-on-one coaching and specialized mentoring
  • Co-creation activities with tourism stakeholders and local communities
  • Networking with regional and national partners
  • And more!

The objective : to help you validate the economic model of your project and maximize your chances of accessing financing, strategic partnerships and markets.

Our Mission
Mobilize the driving forces of tourism to transform the Québec City region into a model of sustainable transition and international influence.

Destination Québec cité has more than 825 members spread over a territory that covers Quebec City, L'Ancienne-Lorette, Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Wendake and the RCMs of Portneuf, La Jacques-Cartier, Île d'Orléans and Côte-de-Beaupré, making it an important driver of the region's sustainable positioning. It is thanks to its funding that the projects of the Sustainable Tourism Innovation Hub can create so much impact.
