Ephemeral accommodation in nature – UNIQ Hotel

The initial idea of Hôtel UNIQ was to create an ephemeral village with fully equipped eco-responsible accommodation units. The company offers five-star service in unusual locations with comfortable luxury tents and a shared kitchen.

Before the pandemic, the start-up set up its pop-up villages near events and festivals, in places where accommodation was lacking. Now, Hotel UNIQ has turned its attention to nature and the regions. The UNIQ pop-up village moves according to the destinations. The UNIQ Hotel adapts everywhere.

Hôtel UNIQ has already set up its ephemeral village in Chaudière-Appalaches, Gaspésie, the Laurentians, the Reford Gardens, Beauport Bay, Lake Taureau and Lac Saint-Jean.

The UNIQ Hotel is part of the fifth cohort. She was able to benefit from expert advice and support in writing documentation.

"The advice of the MT Lab was invaluable," says Myriam Corbeil, co-founder of Hôtel UNIQ, "in developing grant applications, completing presentation files and preparing a pitch."

The start-up has won the $100K Excellence grant from the Tourism Innovation Program managed by the MT Lab.
