Montreal, Quebec, November 22, 2022 — The MT Lab is pleased to welcome Tourisme Mauricie as a major partner among a dozen key players in the tourism industry in Quebec. Powered by the MT Lab, Tourisme Mauricie aims to become a hub for open innovation in tourism in order to promote the emergence and reception of young businesses on its territory.

Located between Quebec City and Montreal, Tourisme Mauricie wants to make its region a strategic area of open innovation through the creation of collective wealth, fueled by future entrepreneurs in the ideation phase from here and the rest of Quebec.

This partnership with the MT Lab is part of the desire to be, through innovation, a field of experimentation and cooperation that will allow the Mauritian region to accelerate its economic attractiveness. For its part, the MT Lab already has a first foothold in the region thanks to its partnership with TRès Trois-Rivières. In this way, the MT Lab will strengthen its presence outside Montreal and will benefit from a better knowledge of the issues faced by start-ups throughout the territory.

Tourisme Mauricie will take part in the various activities of the MT Lab. In particular, he will participate in the selection of young companies that are candidates for the latter's Incubation Program, in order to find innovation solutions in response to his challenges, or even to implement them within his organization. He will also participate in the two annual innovation days ("DemoDay"), which presents the entrepreneurial trends of the moment, as well as in the meetings of the open innovation club which promotes the exchange of expertise, the sharing of experiences, ideas, and access to a wider business network.
