The Palais des congrès de Montréal welcomes the first MT Lab Innovative Company in Residence

Montréal, February 18, 2025 – The Palais des congrès de Montréal is partnering with the MT Lab as part of its Innovative Company in Residence program, an initiative aimed at providing a young innovative company with a strategic location in the heart of downtown to test and perfect its solutions in real-world conditions.

For this pilot project, the Palais is making a space in its shopping mall available to a company incubated at the MT Lab, allowing the latter to benefit from a stimulating environment, exceptional visibility and privileged access to a varied business clientele to accelerate its development.

This collaboration between the Palais des congrès de Montréal and the MT Lab is part of a series of joint initiatives aimed at supporting innovation and providing a showcase for Montréal entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of tourism and business events. In May 2023, the two organizations launched the Tourism Innovation Showcase, an immersive journey showcasing new experiential technologies offered by four young companies incubated at the MT Lab.

With Innovative Company in Residence, the Palais des congrès and the MT Lab are reinforcing their commitment to promoting Montréal's entrepreneurial know-how and offering start-ups a real springboard to test and validate their solutions in a dynamic and strategic setting.

ESPACE RECHARGE, the first innovative company in residence

Founded in 2024, ESPACE RECHARGE specializes in wellness experiences for corporate clients. Its flexible and customizable service offer includes some fifty turnkey individual and group activities. Developed in close collaboration with many local partners, they aim at cognitive and physical recovery, taking into account the constraints and rhythm of professional life. Meditation, flower arranging, clay modeling, yoga, Pilates, watercolor, photography, embroidery and bodybuilding are all experiences designed to promote rejuvenation, vitality and creativity.

At the heart of this offer is the Immersive Room™, a unique device that allows the participant to teleport to another place, in sound and images, to experience an individual activity of their choice. A transformed closed room becomes a cocoon that offers a multitude of 30-minute activities, combining the virtual, the immersive and the face-to-face. To maximize the change of scenery and reduce the stress related to mental overload, it is suggested that each person hand over their cell phone before entering the Immersive Chamber.

Thanks to this demonstration space, ESPACE RECHARGE is taking advantage of the Palais' effervescence to adapt its solutions to the needs of the surrounding businesses and the local business community that passes through it every day. Immersed in the heart of a dynamic and international environment, it benefits from a unique showcase to test its services and strengthen its impact with a large network of professionals.

"For the Palais des congrès, welcoming an Innovative Company in Residence represents a concrete opportunity to highlight the innovative initiatives emerging from the Montréal ecosystem and to strengthen our role as a catalyst in the transformation of business tourism. We are delighted to welcome ESPACE RECHARGE and to offer this company a unique framework to develop and adapt its offer to the needs of the business community." – Emmanuelle Legault, President and CEO of the Palais des congrès de Montréal

"The MT Lab propels innovation by connecting industry leaders to solutions that impact their market, like ESPACE RECHARGE. With our Innovative Business in Residence program, the Palais is positioning itself and once again positioning Montréal as a competitive and visionary destination that is shaping the future of tourism and business events. – Martin Lessard, Executive Director of the MT Lab

"Workplaces and tourist destinations have every interest in integrating a wide variety of wellness experiences into their offer in order to improve the attractiveness of their destination, as well as the health of the individuals who visit them. Building on the success of our pilot project at Énergir, where more than 250 participants expressed a 98% satisfaction rate, we now want to deploy our concept in new organizations that will be able to benefit from the regenerative power of our Immersive Chamber™. The residency proposal at the Palais des congrès represents an extraordinary strategic opportunity for us. – Hélène Beauséjour, co-founder and executive director of ESPACE RECHARGE
