Société du parc Jean-Drapeau + MySmartJourney

The customer

For 150 years, Parc Jean-Drapeau has been an iconic destination for all Montrealers, offering them invaluable access to nature and the river. Several major events take place each year in this large urban park, including the F1 Grand Prix, major festivals and other celebrations. The park's history is rich and captivating, having helped propel great athletes, artists and major projects, while bringing us together across generations.

Project summary

On the occasion of its 150th anniversary, Parc Jean-Drapeau is celebrating its rich heritage through innovative educational content, presented through interactive terminals spread across its islands. This trail invites participants to discover or rediscover the park from a new perspective, while highlighting the great moments in its history and its mission as a great urban park. The Challenge

It is important for museums and permanent attractions to renew themselves to attract a new audience. The realization of stations of this kind is possible thanks to the innovative ideas of companies such as Stimulation Déjà-Vu.

Today, standing out requires using innovative ideas and technology to enhance the customer experience.

The Solution

This unique exhibition offers the opportunity to immerse oneself in the marine world in a different way and shows a new perspective for exploring aquatic environments.

The EAU'DORAT exhibition contains:

  • a varied olfactory station with information;
  • the possibility of sensory immersion in the life of a polar bear and a shark in order to become aware of their way of life;
  • marketing of this exhibition to attract new visitors.

The Service Provider

MySmartJourney is a tool for creating digital routes for tourist and cultural sites. It is a platform used for the creation and design of contactless cultural or tourist mediation scenarios. QR code technology allows people to discover points of interest using their smart device and discover the places without being bombarded by educational displays. This allows for a learning autonomy that makes the experience more personalized and enjoyable.

Results and findings

The exhibition was very much appreciated by the visitors and aroused a lot of enthusiasm. Good media coverage also highlighted the efforts and created excitement.

If we had to do it again, the materials would be chosen more according to their durability since we had to change several parts.
